Asian delicacies
The new elephant park's popular eatery is the Asian-themed Himmapan Lodge at Knie’s Kinderzoo. Here visitors of the children's zoo as well as the general public can enjoy authentic culinary delights from Thailand right on the lakefront.
The restaurant also offers stunning views, from the Himmapan elephant park and the camel area, to the foothills of the Alps and the idyllic Obersee lake. The Himmapan Lodge seats up to 150 guests with room for another 200 guests on the spacious terraces, in the bar and in the Thisiam Lounge. Featuring an exclusive Asian atmosphere, the Lodge also boasts more than 300 hand-picked original decorations from Thailand. This extraordinary new Thai restaurant and meeting place is open all year Long.
